Karen Kerwitz, BS, PTA, CMT
Karen Kerwitz is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and holds a BS degree in Community Health Education. Her knowledge and experience in working with the body spans over 30 years. Current emphasis in her daily practice is within Dance Medicine.
Karen deeply enjoys working with the body and continues to broaden her knowledge and skills with continuing education and training on a regular basis. She is considered expert in the highly effective John F. Barnes approach of Myofascial Release and incorporates Cranio/Sacral Therapy, positional release and muscle energy techniques to meet the body's needs.
Her unique way of "listening to the body" and applying the appropriate interventions allow her clients to experience the profound changes they are seeking.
Positive benefits of treatment are further enhanced with client education and self treatment education in Melt Method moves and other fun facial fitness and meditation techniques leading to a greater sense of wellbeing. Home self care can ameliorate common movement and connective tissue restrictions that come along with living an active life, sedentary positioning or aging.
